Health Safety Environment Manager

Description
Ensure overall Health, Safety and Environmental aspect at the plant. Will drive a proactive HSE programmes to ensure the safety of employees through the continuous improvement of the occupational health and safety standards and continually find ways to reduce the environmental impacts through the reduction of resource use (energy and water).
Main Responsibilities
Support the site to identify hazards and conduct risk assessment and advise on appropriate risk management techniques.
Follow up of daily site operations and ensure that adequate control measures are implemented.
Ensure that the Permit to work procedure is applied on all relevant site operations (working at height, chemicals, confined spaces)
Manage with collaboration with other head departments the site daily housekeeping operations.
Lead and participate in incident and accident investigation and review findings for accuracy, with the identification of the root causes and appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
Report accidents to the HR department and local authorities.
Monitoring of the wastewater treatment operations and ensure that site is complying to relevant regulations related to the environment.
Maintain policies and procedures related to HSE, including regular review of audits and inspections.
Maintain and develop Job Safety Analysis and Job Hazards Analysis.
Daily follow up of the Energy and water consumption and ensure that deviations are shared within the plant management team and responsible.
Qualification, Experience & Skills
Master’s degree in health and safety / or in another relevant technical field.
NEBOSH International General Certificate.
7 years in relevant field or FMCG.
