Role Purpose:
The Shop Manager is responsible for managing the store operations and staff in order to deliver the highest standards of customer service and to maximize sales and profitability in line with company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Solve critical store operational problems including customers’ complaints, in order to ensure operational effectiveness and increase customers’ satisfaction
Assist the Retail Operations Manager in staff recruitment
Follow up with management team to ensure proper training and staff assessment is being completed
Evaluate on a bi-yearly basis the performance of the store team as per company guidelines
Maintain a positive work environment and ensure the company’s policies are respected
Lead by example mentoring staff in providing high-quality customer service
Manage annual allocated budget, optimising and reducing costs where possible and reporting variances if any
Ensure the stock is effectively measured and controlled
Monitor the store hourly revenue and prepare staff schedule accordingly
Prepare and share weekly reports on store performance
Ensure the effective communication of sales plans and targets to the Store team, managing performance and motivating employees, in order to ensure the highest levels of performance and the achievement, or exceeding, of sales targets
Manage Shop events and marketing activities by ensuring proper execution and report the results to the management
Perform other Store related activities such as overseeing the merchandising, verifying the cleanliness, display and maintenance of the window…etc
Ensure a strict follow up of the product deliveries following the company procedures
Share in a daily basis the end of the day report and apply all the required actions for the store closure
Requirements:
